Others opinions on Work-Life Balance

Many people have different kind of opinion on work-life balance

On average people have a general opinion that work-life balance is really necessary for life. However this is not always the case.

Below is the opinion of a wellness lawyer, Andy Clark,on work-life balance:

He has mentioned that work-life balance can never be achieved. He reasoned that work is PART OF life, and thus it cannot balance with life. However this can be achievable by replacing the word 'life' with family. In this way balance can be attained.

Below is the opinion of a graduate:
Money is the sole reason of not having the balance between work and life.
The graduate's opinion is totally true. The disruption in the balance between work and life is indeed caused by money. As the saying goes “While money can't buy happiness, it certainly lets you choose your own form of misery.”
― Groucho Marx

Below is the opinion of a studet:
Work-life is not attained as adults do not chose the correct line of work, best suited for them.
This indeed very true. Your profile of work holds the most important spotlight when it comes to maintaining the balance. If the work that you do is what you love, making that balance is a way easier job. Choose to do what interests you, triggers you intellectually and where at the end of the day you come back and say "Though it was exhausting, I made it through the day and am satisfied at the end of the day". Every work comes with its set of difficulties, deadlines and usual confusion. If you love what you do even all these negativity will seem positive aspects of the bigger picture.

Ways to have work-life balance!

If you're finding it more challenging than ever to juggle the demands of your job and the rest of your life, you're not alone.
Many people are putting in extra hours, or using their smartphones to be on call when they're not physically at work.
ITS OK TO BE STRESSED NOW YOU HAVE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE!!!
"A lot of people are having a more difficult time finding balance in their lives because there have been cutbacks or layoffs where they work. They're afraid it may happen to them, so they're putting in more hours," says psychologist Robert Brooks, PhD, co-author of 'The Power of Resilience': Achieving Balance, Confidence, and Personal Strength in Your Life
"But even if you don't have much control over the hours you have to work, you can ask yourself: In what other ways am I bringing greater enjoyment into my life?" Brooks says. "Focus your time and attention on things you can control."

Build downtime into your schedule.

When you plan your week, make it a point to schedule time with your family and friends, and activities that help you recharge.
If a date night with your spouse or a softball game with friends is on your calendar, you'll have something to look forward to and an extra incentive to manage your time well so you don't have to cancel.
"It helps to be proactive about scheduling," says Laura Stack, a productivity expert in Denver and author of Super Competent: The Six Keys to Perform at Your Productive Best. "When I go out with my girlfriends, we all whip out our cell phones and put another girls' night out on the calendar for 1 month later."
Stack also plans an activity with her family, like going to a movie or the park, every Sunday afternoon. "We do this because if there's nothing on the schedule, time tends to get frittered away and the weekend may end without us spending quality time together," she says.
Michael Reinhardt, an actor and television commercial producer in New York City, wakes up 3 hours before he has to leave for work so he can go for a run and spend some time with his wife and baby.
"A lot of my friends tend to wake up, shower, and go straight to work. And they often complain about having no time to do anything," he says. "I find that if I can get those 3 hours in the morning, I have a more productive and peaceful workday. I can sure tell the difference when I don't.

What is Work-Life balance?

Work–life balance is a concept including proper prioritizing between "work" (career and ambition) and "lifestyle"

(health, pleasure, leisure, family and spiritual development/meditation)

Under work there is career and ambition.

To have work and life balance first you have to know what career and ambition really defines.

Career - An occupation undertaken for a significant period of a person's life and with opportunities for progress.

Ambition- A strong desire to do or to achieve something, typically requiring determination and hard work.

Ambition is something which arouses in you career. Determination and hard work, which is required by ambition, should not be to overpowering.

As work is part of life, many people struggle to have a balance between work and life. However this can be achievable through many steps.

Why is work-life balance so important ?
Juggling five balls of life : Work, Family, Health, Friends, and Spirit
Brian Dyson, CEO of Coca-Cola, spoke that: Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling five balls in the air. You name them – work, family, health, friends and spirit – and you’re keeping all of these in the air. You will soon understand that work is a rubber ball. What happens if you drop the rubber ball? It will bounce back.
But the other four balls – family, health, friends and spirit – are made of glass. If you drop one of these, they will be irrevocably scuffed, marked, nicked, damaged, or even shattered. They will never be the same.
